Just sharing the news on this forum so that other cyclists are aware.
The annual Fall CNC ride will be riding through Farmville on Friday Oct 6th as the nearly 2,000 cyclists ride between their Wilson and Kinston campsites. Farmville is getting ready and making its area of Pitt Co. a bit better to cycle in by adding some safety signage and fixing some of its roads. We're also doing a bunch of bicycle related public art and window displays. So come on out westward and see for yourself or come on out that morning, meet fellow cyclists, and see our town filled with bicycles. The rest stop will be at Duck Rabbit Brewery, live music, a hammock station, and food trucks etc plan to be there and in the downtown area from 9am to the last rider around 1:30-2pm. We'd love to have more volunteers and visitors. If you're driving out this way that morning expect cycling congestion from 9-1 along West Church St, downtown, Grimmersburg St., and Moye-Turnage as they ride from here to Simple Natural Creamery. Contact me directly if you're interested in helping that day or have some time that week to assist with some set up or clean-up.
