Many groups at ECVelo ride in a paceline.  If you are new (at all) to paceline riding please read this page for some simple suggestions to keep you safe and fast!!

Saturdays

Spring, Summer, Fall

Where: start and finish at Boyd Lee Park (5184 Corey Rd, Greenville, NC 27858)
 
This is a No Drop Ride but come prepared for a 40-60-mile ride at an average pace of 18-20 miles an hour.

When: Saturday - 8 or 9 depending on season and temp - join ECvelo Strava for ride updates

Pace: “B ride” 18-20 mph depending on conditions. There may be some sprints for county line signs but this is a no drop ride that will gather periodically at stop signs. 

If there are folks interested in an "A-ride (20-25+ mph - drop ride) or “C-ride” (16-18 mph) feel free to join us at the start.

Routes will generally be posted to ECVelo’s “Strava Posts area” and Facebook a few days in advance, distance will vary depending on the group and time of year.

ECVelo Monday Night Ladies Ride

Downtown Bicycle Post 530 Cotanche St, Greenville 530 Cotanche St. Greenville.

20-25-mile route that is organized and led by female riders. Men are welcome but should not pull unless requested to do so.

Tuesdays
Spring/Summer 6pm - Fall/Winter 530pm start time

Tuesday from the church at intersection of Portertown and Ivy Rd, Greenville.

Riders meet for ~ 30 mile route.

Groups break off into different paces (16-18 mph, 18-20 mph, and 25+ mph).These rides tend to be quit fast and people get dropped frequently so be sure to bring a map and plenty of water if you are new to the area or riding with ECVelo.

Thursdays

Spring/Summer 6pm - Fall/Winter 530pm start time

Bicycle Post, corner of Cotanche St. and Reade Cir, downtown Greenville.

 

The traditional Bicycle Post Ride, this ride has 25 and 30 mile options north of Greenville. Groups break off into different paces (16-18 mph, 18-20 mph, and 25+ mph).These rides tend to be quit fast and people get dropped frequently so be sure to bring a map and plenty of water if you are new to the area or riding with ECVelo.

Riders should arrive at least 10 minutes early and be prepared to depart at the scheduled time so that everyone can return before dark.  Please do not jeopardize the safety of other riders by arriving at the scheduled departure time with empty tires and a full bladder!

 

Guests and new riders are asked to introduce themselves at the start of the ride.

 

Regular Mountain Bike Rides

Wednesdays

Meet at the Bicycle Post Trail.

 

All levels or riders are welcome but this will generally be a faster ride.  Lights are required for this night ride, but several riders have extra that are available for others to borrow.  Contact Ryan or Eric (below) if you are interested!

 
Don't forget, if you are not a member, please go by one of the two Bicycle Post locations at 215 E. Arlington Blvd or 530 Cotanche st. and sign a waiver (with a valid Pic ID). And as always bring your helmet!

This ride will generally happen every week, but if the weather is particularly bad we will cancel.  Please check the EC Velo Facebook page or the MTB Forum for up to date info.  Contact Eric Sjoerdsma or Ryan Danell (via Contact Us).

Sundays

Beginner ride - Flexible start time - Meet at the Bicycle Post Trail.

 

If you are new to the trail and want to get more familiar with the trail someone in the group will have a map and show you where you are at every intersection.

 

Don't forget, if you are not a member, please go by one of the two Bicycle Post locations at 215 E. Arlington Blvd or 530 Cotanche st. and sign a waiver (with a valid picture ID). And as always bring your helmet!
