Adrain- the shimano pedals i have are spd , NOT spd-sl. They are two hole cleats, not three hole. If you have road shoes with holes or insert to accept 3 or 2 hole cleats(like my diadora's are) they would work well, if not- obviously won't work. If you have shoes they work well as road or mtn pedals.
