Bicycle Post Trail

Trail features/ maintenance
Author Last Post
Hey everyone,
For the majority of you all do not know me- My name is Byron Shults and I am new to the area (just enrolled last fall at ECU). I've been a bicycle technician at Crystal Coast Bicycles in Atlantic Beach for the past five years and will continue to work there this summer. You can catch me most weekdays riding the trails on my Stumpjumper FSR.

Anyways, back to the subject, I rode the trails for the first time in March not knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised at the terrain given the area. BC loop/ outer limits area has a lot of fun stuff, but I was saddened to see the state of the playground, and other features as it is obvious that at some point someone put a lot of time and effort into building those skinnies, teeter, and whatnot. I'd be happy to help with the construction and rebuilding of these structures, and would be willing to add any other obstacles that aid in the flow and technicality of the trail system. My background and past riding mostly consisted of free ride and downhill riding up at Snowshoe, and out west Colorado/ Utah, and I am experienced with trail building as well. Thanks, and happy riding!

Byron
