49-mile B and 35-mile C Southside 65-degree Saturday Ride October 20, 2018
Where: start and finish at Boyd Lee Park (5184 Corey Rd, Greenville, NC 27858)
When: gather at 8:20 pm, Roll at 8:30
Pace: The 49 mile “B group” will shoot for a 18-20 mph pace (16-17 mph average pace), the 35 mile “C group” will shoot from a 16-18 mph pace depending on conditions. Both groups will ride together for the first 22 miles to Ayden then the C group will head back to Boyd Lee while the B group continues onto Gum Swamp. There may be some sprints for county line signs, but this is a no drop ride that will gather periodically at stop signs.
This ride will be canceled if actively raining in the Boyde Lee area at 8:00 am or if bad weather is predicated in the ride area as of 8 am Saturday. The ride may also be shortened in route should safety be a concern due to weather conditions.
