League of American Bicyclists (LAB) Traffic Skills...

If you want to bike around town and feel comfortable biking with cars, this course is for you. The League of American Bicyclists (LAB) Traffic Skills 101 will provide you with increased confidence in riding in traffic, in groups and even on the BP Trails. The course covers bicycle checks, fixing flats and other mechanical issues, on-bike skills, and crash avoidance techniques (watch out for cracks in the road!), and includes a manual.

Recommended for adults and teens above age fourteen, this fast-paced, nine-hour course prepares you for a full understanding of vehicular cycling. Most importantly, you'll learn how to feel comfortable and have fun on a bike, no matter where you go. Morning will be spent in the classroom with the afternoon spent working outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a water bottle.
